Halmahera Selatan Government Officially Launches Call Center 112 Service with Support from PT JAST

Halmahera Selatan, August 18, 2024 — The Government of Halmahera Selatan proudly announces the launch of its new emergency call service, Call Center 112. This service is now operational and available to all residents of Halmahera Selatan through any cellular operator, even without a SIM card.

The Call Center 112 is designed to handle various emergency situations, including accidents, natural disasters, fires, and other urgent circumstances. This service is the first of its kind to be implemented in Maluku Utara Province, placing Halmahera Selatan ahead of nine other districts and cities in the province.

With the introduction of the 112 emergency call service, residents need only remember one number: 112, which integrates all emergency numbers to provide assistance for any type of emergency in the region.

The launch event was supported by PT Jasnita Telekomindo Tbk., with Ibu Sri Akhadah, the Commercial Director of JAST, in attendance. This initiative marks a significant step in ensuring quick access to assistance during emergencies, reflecting JAST’s commitment to the success of this service.
